Amazing Spider-Man #601 (2009)
Jean: My name is Jean Grey. I’m one of the X-Men.
Jessica: Oh yeah? Hey, good for you.

Jean: It’s been a couple of years.
Jessica: You’re - - you’re Jean Grey. You’re one of the X-Men.
Jean: Yes, I helped you out of your coma after your first Killgrave incident. Do you know what a psychic defense trigger is?

Sixteen: Favorite mother character
Jessica Jones-Cage
I totally didn’t even think about this one before I picked Jess, and I think it’s because being a mother doesn’t define her as a character. Which sounds kind of shitty for me to say, I know, but I don’t like characters that only have one thing going for them, and Jessica is definitely not like that. Before she even met Luke, she was a superhero in her own right; she has a past, friendships, troubles that have nothing to do with her family. I love her because she’s a real person to me, and because she hasn’t been relegated to the background since having her baby. She’s still a big part of the Avengers, which is refreshing. It seems like a lot of the time, when a couple has kids, the male character gets to keep on keeping on and the female character is shoved to the back, as though being a mother prevents you from doing anything else. And that’s why Jessica is great; she’s a good mother and and good character.

Carol Danvers, aka Ms. Marvel: Energy absorption and blasts, flight, super-strength, general awesomeness.
Jessica Jones-Cage: Flight, super strength, sarcasm

“Did my husband put you up to this? That man will do anything to keep me in New York.” Who can blame him? “Give me my baby!” (Poor Jessica.)
